There is a Way to Conduct Ourselves as a Church Body

For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him ecourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.   -Romans 12:3-8 -NIV

As, fellow Christians today, I see animostiy between the brethern. We devote ourselves to brotherly warfare instead of brotherly love. The church is supposed to be a place of fellowship, where God's childern should gather for a place of teaching and edification through spiritual gifts. I don't see Compass Bible church in particular tearing down eachother but other churches around my local area in Calirornia seemed to be fighting their own family instead of their enimies. Their attention and spiritual warefare should really be focccused toward those whe practice lawlessness. My goal at least right now as a beliver in Christ is to edify people in the church. My goal is to encourage and build up one another, making strong disciples and keeping them from turning on eachother and instead turn them to living in harmony with one another as they should. My goal is not only to provide truth to non-christains but start fires and fan into flame what is just lukewarm, burnning embers, that we see living lives without extremity, without being cold or hot. Every lukewarm christain is not really a follower of Chirst, but is wanted by Christ to be vommitted out of His mouth. I hope that to those people I can be a light and an example, so that they can either be turned away by the truth or fanned into flame. Let us reach way outside the chrurch to draw in the lost, but don't forget about the people we see every week, that they might be lost as well and yet they gear and testify to the word of God every week. And let us not forget about our true famliy that abides in Christ and we should uplift them in a way according to our spiritual gifts.
